The Homeplace Farm is a "Century Old Farm" located in the Cane Ridge Community in southern Davidson County. With five generations of the Turner family living/working the farm since before the 1900's, it has seen many, many changes take place. If the old oak tree that graces the hill could talk, I'm sure it would have some great tales to tell. Keeping the integrity of the land, animals & the bounty it produces intact is a full time job, but very rewarding for all of us. Because farms in the area are few, we decided to share this wonderful place with you. Beginning in June, we will have seasonal produce available for sale (see CSA registration), as well as a chance for you & your family to meet the farm animals & enjoy the land. In the fall we will open the pumpkin patch & culminate our season with a very special day - Casey's Cause. In it's second year, it was began to support the Mid-South MS Society. One of our family, Casey, was diagnosed two years ago with MS. A graduate of Mississippi State, he decided to put some of his "learnin" to good use & organize this fun-filled day with all proceeds going to MS. Tractor rides, butter churnin, pickin' punkins & feeding the farm animals are just a few of the activites available. Better yet, you might just want to come "sit a spell" & enjoy the fresh air.
